Etymology[]

  • The name Tomi (1) is written in hiragana (とみ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (富 or 都美), it could possibly mean:
    • 富 - "wealth, abundance".
    • 都美 - "metropolis, capital" (都) (to) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
  • Tomi's surname Ichimonji means "one letter, straight line, beeline" (一文字).
