College, Chapter 1 is a chapter of the fifth volume of the K-ON! Manga by Kakifly.

SummaryEdit

The volume begins shortly into the Yui, Ritsu, Mio, and Mugi's first semester of university. Yui's doing remarkably well. She's joined the university's Light Music Club, become super popular, and is thinking that she's just about to go pro. Until Ritsu wakes her up.

It's actually the first day of the semester, and the girls, who are living together in the same dorm along with Megumi, have burst into Yui's room to wake her up for the entrance ceremony. Yui isn't coping well without all the luxuries Ui normally prepares at home.

Though Yui is raring to go, she falls asleep, during the ceremony, and even drools on another freshman's shoulder. As soon as they all step outside, they're swamped with recruitment flyers for university clubs, but they already know that they're joining the light music club. They go straight to the light music club's recruiter, but they get spooked when that same freshman Yui drooled on also takes a flyer.

That evening, the for discuss in their dorm whether they really want to join the club, especially if that scary girl is meaning to join. Speak of the devil, she pops in to ask them to keep quiet. She spots Yui, and starts scolding her for the drool stain, but somehow, Yui finds her cute and latches onto her pretty quickly.

Checking out the commotion are two other girls, who introduce themselves as the friends of Akira, the girl Yui has imprinted herself on. These two, Ayame and Sachi decide that Yui and her friends must be fun people to be around if they can mess with Akira so easily. They all decide to be friends, though Akira is a little resistant.
