Oct 8 - Nov 1 How much of the K-ON! manga have you read?
- No Volumes: 30 (35.7%)
- All Volumes: 22 (26.2%)
- 1/2 (Tied): 7 (8.33%)
- 3/4/5 (Tied): 6 (7.14%)
- Total: 84
Roughly the kind of distribution I expected. The low numbers from 1-5 volumes probably reflect people who are currently reading, so we'd also expect a large clump at 6 volumes where there isn't anything else to read. 0 volumes read as the largest portion isn't surprising, considering that the anime far outweighs the manga in popularity.Read more >

I'm not exactly sure if such a thing exists in the wikia stats, and I think you can bring up poll history just by going through the edit history on the front page, but I may as well make this resource here so that it's somewhat easily accessible.

So maybe by the end of the month I'll be doing some stuff on the front page. I'd like to change the poll to keep things fresh, but it seems like such a waste to take down the favourite characters poll, since it feels like that poll should just stay there forever and ever. I'm thinking I can change the title of that poll to something like 'Legacy Poll' (and hopefully that won't reset the results or anything). And space permitting, I'll try to run a 'Monthly Poll' above it for more random, topical sorts of polls.
The first new poll I'm thinking of is what we had discussed last time, about the support characters. Which characters should be included? The certain ones are Nodoka, Ui, Jun, and Sawako, but maybe there's a couple more offbeat ones …Read more >
Recently the poll on the front page has been (finally) changed after like a year or so. Because of this, I think it would be a good time to change the featured articles on the front page aswell.
If I remember correctly, in the past, we voted for which character, song or band to feature, so I think we should do that again. Anyways, feel free to voice your opinions on what we should do for the featured articles.Read more >

Hooray! Happy Birthday Mio! About this time last year when I really got my teeth into K-ON, I'd been playing bass for a few months already, but I hadn't made any effort to actually learn any real technique. Listening to K-ON music, reading tabs, and just learning to do everything in a song that I wasn't familiar with helped me really lift my game. Mio was essentilaly my benchmark for the kind of skill I wanted to try to reach over a couple of years.
With that, here's a bunch of the best and my favourite of the basslines from K-ON.

Cripes, it's already been two weeks since I joined up. I'd like to take a step back and have a look at what I've seen, what I've done and where I hope to go from here. I've lurked the wiki ever since I started watching about Dec 2013/Jan 2014, mostly for lyrics. And man I'm glad that all the lyrics, japanese, romanji, and translations - even for the deeper cuts like the less popular character songs. It's probably a safe assumption to say that most casual lurkers are also here for the lyrics, so I'd say, "excellent work!" to whichever team worked on these.
I think I joined when I noticed that there were just a few too many errors on some of the most important pages. I mean, Nodoka's the featured page, but there were just a few too many small…Read more >

During my travels I met one fan of the Suzumiya Haruhi series - I knew because I first saw them reading Disappearance. (In fact it was the first time I saw an actual volume in print.) I also came across someone who had seen Chuunibyou, though I did not talk with them. Incredibly, despite attending a small (~30-40 people) anime-watching meeting of sorts, I did not find a single person who had read/seen K-ON!. Nonetheless, I enjoyed meeting other anime fans during my time away.
I also watched anime in a group setting for the first time. We saw the first two episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho and the first of Darker than Black. I don't think I will finish those soon but maybe I will try to at some time.Read more >

A crazy, bittersweet story about love, friendship and the true meaning of happiness. Content Warning: Suggestive Themes."
Here is the link to the actual thing, in case you got curious:

I had wanted to do something for the 5th anniversary of the K-ON! anime, but didn't manage to finish it in time. I put a huge amount of effort into this, so I hope it was worth something.
Edit: (More info) The song is, of course, Houkago Tea Time. I chose it because the song seemed a little unrecognized, so to speak, and of course the AMV is about the band of the same name of the song. I also believe that the lyrics are related to the song; I certainly don't understand most of it but I do know meanings of certain lines like "Itsumademo Tea Time", etc.
I used Windows Live Movie Maker to do the video editing. I probably would have finished sooner if the program had not crashed on me every other minute or so.
I have some regrets in some of the c…

Hello fellow K-ON! fans.
I know this might appear sudden, but after a lot happening recently, I am afraid to tell that I will be on hiatus editing the wiki, if not retiring completely. It's not as I don't like the series or the wiki anymore, both were and are always lots of fun. However, during the one year being busy here, my personal life changed, including me as well. Lots and lots of other things entered my life, and not all of them were, or more, are good things. I don't want to dig in here much deeper, it's a personal topic after all. Anyway, given the situation at hand, I don't have much time to be the kind of workaholic I used to be here, and, honestly spoken, I don't want to be either. Especially most recently, I more or less had t…Read more >

It is here. Now seriously, just what the hell is this? All I see from the background now is Mugi on the left and half of Mugi on the right! The text has more...I call it "horizontal space"...you know, the lines have become longer...and because of that, the images moved together and we have something like THIS! Just how should we handle it? The episode pages are a mess! The attire and lyric sections have so much empty space on the right side!
I don't know if only I have these problems, originally, the layout is made so people with large displays or tablets can benefit from it. How does it go for you guys?Read more >

hey guys so ive been gone for quite a long time and i see that things has changed around here
so can anyone fill me in on what's up?Read more >
Okay, this topic is present for quite a while now, so I think we should finally get rid of it. I am talking about all the fanwork that sneaked into this wiki a while ago. At first, there are the No, Thank You attires which all need to be replaced: Azusa's, Yui's, Mugi's, Mio's and Ritsu's. I also took a closer look at the images for their second attire and had to find out that they are professional vector work, which means they are nicely done and based on the official artwork but still fanmade. It annoys me the most that it was me who uploaded them.
At long last, there are these two for the Wakaba Girls article.
If anyone can think of an official alternative for all these, I would be thankful.Read more >
